Edmond Roudnitska's luminous green-fruity chypre, built on a cool lemon-melon-basil top over honeysuckle and jasmine, resting on a classic oakmoss-vetiver-patchouli base. It has a signature ripe, almost over-ripe fruity facet that reads as slightly animalic or decadent on skin, which fans adore and others find challenging. Fresh and radiant rather than heavy, it sits close to Eau Sauvage's DNA in a floral register. Vintage juice is greener and mossier; reformulations trimmed the oakmoss.
