The original Burberry for Women (also sold as Burberrys, 1995) is a fruity-floral with a mossy, chypre-leaning backbone. It opens with green apple, peach and bergamot, moves through a jasmine heart laced with moss and cedar, and dries down to sandalwood, musk and a soft vanilla. It has a slightly retro, refined character compared to the fresher fruity florals that followed it. Performance is moderate: balanced projection and a comfortable, elegant drydown.
