This is the current 2020 reformulation of Dior Homme, a notably different fragrance from the beloved 2005 original. Gone is the lipstick-iris and leather signature that made the earlier versions cult classics; in its place is a cleaner, more transparent woody-musky composition built around Cashmeran, a whisper of iris, and a spicy cardamom-pink pepper lift over bergamot. It is smooth, office-friendly and inoffensive, leaning modern fresh-woody rather than the powdery cosmetic iris fans remember. Performance is moderate with a soft, close-to-skin drydown. Versatile daily wear, but purists should know it does not replicate the 2005–2010 iris-leather DNA.
