Aoud Leather is a bold, animalic leather-oud that leans dry and smoky rather than sweet. A spicy opening of bergamot, pepper and cardamom quickly gives way to a saffron-tinged leather accord sitting on a dense oud-and-ambergris base. This is one of Montale's more aggressive compositions: sillage is heavy and longevity easily exceeds a full day on skin and clothing, so a single spray is plenty.
