Neroli Portofino is Tom Ford's luminous Mediterranean signature: a sparkling wash of bergamot, lemon and bitter orange over a clean, honeyed neroli and orange-blossom heart, dried down with a soft amber-musk base. It reads as effortlessly expensive and impeccably clean, evoking a sun-warmed Italian coastline. The well-known catch is performance. Like most citrus-forward scents it is notoriously fleeting, often fading to a skin-scent within a few hours and demanding reapplication, which many find hard to justify at its premium price.
