Creed's flagship and the fragrance the entire modern fruity-smoky genre is built on: a bright pineapple-and-blackcurrant opening over a smoky dry birch heart, drying to oakmoss, musk and ambergris. It reads fresh, fruity and confidently masculine, which is exactly why it became a cliché office and going-out scent. The key caveat is batch variation. Aventus is famous for smelling meaningfully different from one production batch to another, some fruitier and some smokier or thinner, so character and performance are not perfectly consistent.
