A distinct fresher flanker to the original Aventus rather than a reformulation: gingery, minty and citrus-forward up top with a clean ozonic-woody drydown that keeps only a light echo of the original's smoky birch. It is easier, brighter and more crowd-safe than Aventus proper, trading depth and the signature smoke for freshness. That trade-off is the main criticism. Fans of the original often find it too tame and not worth the Creed price, since the fresh-woody profile is less unique. Despite the Cologne name it is sold at Eau de Parfum strength.
