An unusual and deliberately divisive experiment: Tom Ford splices smoky agarwood onto a cold, salty marine accord, pitching surf and sea against the burning flame of smoked wood. Sea notes, seaweed and pink pepper open briny and ozonic before a smoky oud-and-styrax heart grounds it over ambergris and woods. The oud-plus-ocean concept is genuinely polarising. Some find it a fresh, wearable summer oud, others find the aquatic-woody clash disjointed. Tom Ford does not officially publish a pyramid, so the exact note split is a considered consensus rather than gospel. Now discontinued in its original form.
