A fresh aromatic-fougère flanker to the polarising 2017 Viking, and generally considered the better-behaved of the two: bright citrus and pink pepper over a herbal lavender-sage-rosemary heart, landing on a woody sandalwood, vetiver and frankincense base. It is clean, versatile and much easier to wear than the sharp, divisive cinnamon-heavy original Viking. Common criticisms are that it is somewhat generic in the fresh-aromatic space and that the advertised sandalwood is faint in practice, with performance good but not exceptional for the price. A safe, pleasant warm-weather woody-aromatic, distinct from the 2017 Viking.
