It opens with that instantly recognizable jammy saffron-and-jasmine sweetness before settling into a warm, slightly smoky ambergris-and-cedar drydown with fir resin. This is the powerhouse of the range: projection is heavy and longevity routinely runs well past ten hours, so a light hand is advised. As an honest budget alternative it captures the BR540 DNA closely, though it wears a touch sweeter and less refined than the original.
