Polo Cologne Intense is released as an Eau de Parfum concentration despite the word Cologne in its name. It is NOT the classic 1978 green Polo pyramid: it is a modern, brighter aromatic fougère that opens with fresh citrus and spearmint over clary sage and thyme, drying to a clean vetiver-patchouli-ambroxan base. It shares the green-aromatic DNA and dark-green bottle cue of the original but reads far fresher, cleaner and more contemporary. Good projection and longevity for a fresh scent, though some classic-Polo purists find it too shampoo-fresh compared to the vintage.
