A genuinely distinct reformulation, not just a concentrated EDT. The fizzy cranberry-grapefruit opening is still recognizably Polo Red, but ginger sharpens it and the whole thing pivots into a much richer, more resinous heart and base. Clary sage and labdanum lead into benzoin, guaiac wood and opoponax for a warm, ambery-smoky drydown that ditches the EDT's coffee accord almost entirely. It is cozier, more mature and the better cold-weather option of the two, with clearly improved longevity. The trade-off is it loses some of the EDT's bright, youthful punch and leans sweeter-warmer.
