Historic Olmeda is a fresh, spicy-woody "blue" fragrance, a spicier, woodier, more night-time take on Bleu de Chanel (with faint nods to Dior Sauvage and Dylan Blue). Grapefruit, pink pepper, juniper and cardamom open crisp and peppery, a heart of Calabrian bergamot, cedar, nutmeg and jasmine adds an aromatic-woody warmth, and a base of ambergris, apple, musk and patchouli gives it a smooth, slightly salty-woody depth. Familiar yet distinctive, a versatile "blue" crowd-pleaser with a big scent bubble. Unisex; wearable year-round. Note: it has a prominent ambergris facet some find strong up close, and projection is beastly, so 2–3 sprays is plenty. Longevity runs moderate (better after maceration).
