Now Rouge is a dry, aromatic-fougère flanker in Rave's popular "Now" line, surprisingly complex for the price. It opens with a strong balsamic-herbal accord (green, slightly bitter and dry), moves into a heart of soft resins and powdery iris, and settles on a woody sandalwood base. The overall effect is a hybrid of fresh and old-school fougère styles, drier and more grown-up than most cheap "fresh" scents, with a slightly sweet, ambery-woody drydown. Leans masculine but wears unisex. A solid everyday option; performance is average (moderate wear and projection). Best for spring and fall. (Rave is a Lattafa-owned brand.)
