Al Jawhara is a plummy, spicy-sweet patchouli scent, the standout of the Niche Emarati line for many. Davana and pink pepper open airy and a little fruity, a heart of juicy plum, cinnamon and osmanthus turns it buttery and salty-sweet (almost a plum-compote-and-cognac gourmand), and a base of labdanum, patchouli, ambroxan and musk gives a smooth, slightly Mugler Angel-like patchouli warmth. Rich and distinctive; best in cooler weather. Note: the opening can be sharp. It blooms with a couple weeks' maceration.
