Composed by Alberto Morillas, Flora Gorgeous Jasmine is the richest and most performance-heavy of the Gorgeous flankers, built around a lush double dose of jasmine and jasmine sambac supported by magnolia and damask rose. A flick of black pepper in the opening keeps the white florals from turning cloying, while a warm base of benzoin, Australian sandalwood and patchouli gives it a creamy, slightly sweet depth that lingers. This is the one to reach for when you want projection. Sillage runs moderate to heavy and it comfortably lasts 6–8 hours. The trade-off is that big indolic jasmine is inherently polarising: fans of white florals will love it, but it can read as heavy or heady to those who find jasmine soapy or overwhelming.
