Kiaana Angel is a creamy pistachio-gelato gourmand, Afnan's take on the viral pistachio trend (a budget twin of Kayali's Yum Pistachio Gelato 33). A soft pistachio ice-cream accord and Italian bergamot open sweet, buttery and nutty, a heart of white peach, pear, raspberry and jasmine adds a juicy floral-fruity lift, and a base of tonka, sandalwood and cedar dries it down creamy, powdery and cozy, like a marzipan-and-pistachio macaron. Sweet but not cloying (more vanilla-bean ice cream than cupcake). Feminine; lovely for cooler days and versatile year-round. Note: some skins pick up little of the actual "nuttiness" (a common pistachio-note quirk), and performance is moderate. A few weeks' maceration helps.
