Scandal Le Parfum is the Eau de Parfum Intense reinterpretation of the original Scandal, trading the honey-forward chypre for a deeper, dessert-like gourmand. Blood orange and honey open sweet and juicy, then a white-floral heart of jasmine and orange blossom is quickly enveloped by the base's defining accord of black vanilla and salted caramel over tonka and patchouli. It is denser, sweeter and far more potent than the original. Projection is enormous and longevity easily runs into double digits, so one or two sprays is plenty. The trade-off is nuance: the salted-caramel-vanilla drydown can read as flat or overly candied to some wearers, and it is strictly a cold-weather, going-out scent.
