9PM Elixir takes the sweet 9PM DNA somewhere darker, spicier and richer, an extrait-strength take built for cold weather (by nose Imran Fazlani). A luminous, spicy opening of cardamom, nutmeg and elemi leads into a heart of pimento pepper, leather and lavender, and a base of vanilla, patchouli, labdanum and rock rose gives a deep, creamy, leather-tobacco drydown. Warm, sensual and long-wearing, less bubblegum-sweet than the original 9PM, more spicy-leather-vanilla. Unisex; a fall and winter, evening scent with beastly longevity. Note: it opens sharp and spicy before settling into its cosy vanilla-leather base. Give it 30–45 minutes.
