Pure Desire Gold is a dry, warm amber-floral, a golden, slightly spicy "amber bomb" softened with white flowers. Amber and a touch of mandarin open warm and glowing, a heart of white flowers, cloves, carnation and lily of the valley adds a spicy floral body, and a base of ambergris, caramel and vanilla gives a soft, sweet-resinous drydown. Rich and enveloping without being loud; it wears best in the heat, where the amber really radiates. Marketed feminine, though the clove-carnation-ambergris facets give it a slightly unisex, spicy edge. Best for cooler weather and evenings. (Rave is a Lattafa-owned brand.)
