Ajwaa is a sweet, resinous black-licorice-and-dates scent, one of Lattafa's genuinely original creations (often compared to the old Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin for its realistic licorice). Bergamot, lemon, elemi and sweet dates open bright and syrupy (some get a Haribo-candy vibe), a heart of licorice, myrrh and elemi turns herbal and resinous, and a base of benzoin, incense, labdanum, vanilla and musk gives a smoky, sugary-resin drydown. Unique and a little polarizing, a niche-smelling gourmand-amber. Note: very sweet and licorice-forward; go easy on sprays.
