The current Acqua di Giò Eau de Parfum is a saltier, more mineral and grown-up take on the original: the familiar citrus-marine top is grounded by clary sage, lavender and geranium over a dry vetiver-patchouli-mineral base that gives real weight and staying power. It performs far better than the classic EDT and reads more mature, though some find the mineral-vetiver drydown a touch austere versus the sweeter Profondo. Note: read as the modern 2022 EDP, not the discontinued Absolu (2018), whose incense-patchouli pyramid differs, worth a UPC check if the stock is old.
